How right you are Liger. Love the scarf. How'd you get the colours on the face all watercolour-y like that, while everything else is all modernish? Different layers or something?

Painted on the bottom layer with the watercolor tool D:

Although, instead of using a skin color as the base color, I shaded with the skin color and used white as the base color.

It's not sad. 'sides line less is really hard, you have to depend on shading and shadows and light sources a lot instead of lines. My advice, although you probably already know what I'm going to say, is that: pick one light source and go with that. Sometimes it helps to draw a circle where you've deemed your light source is coming from.
